Seeing Eye: Learn about internet safety awareness
INTERNET SAFETY: An Internet Safety Awareness night will be offered 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Girard High School presented by Girard FOP Lodge 52. The event is for families, parents and friends. Food will be served at 5:30 p.m.
OPENING SET: Golden Age Vintage Marketplace, 1282 Trumbull Ave., Girard, will open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. The business celebrates entrepreneurship,creativity and local history. The 4,000-square foot marketplace features oddities, handmade goods and vintage collectibles.
1950s LUNCHEON: The Girard Multigenerational Center, Trumbull Avenue, will present a 1950s-style luncheon at noon today. Dress in your favorite ’50s attire. Bring a dish to share.
DANCE GATHERING: The Zolkas, a high energy band from northeast Ohio, will headline this years’ Penn-Ohio Polka Dyngus Day Dance at 6 p.m. today at DeLucia’s Banquet Hall, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be a 50-50 raffle, music, dancing and food. Admission is $15 at the door for ages 18 and older and free to those under 18. For information, call 330-783-2222.
MAKE AND TAKE BUNNY: The Bristol Public Library will host a Make and Take bunny craft 2:30 to 4 p.m. today. Children of all ages are welcome.
COMMUNITY CONCERNED CITIZENS: The Community Concerned Citizens II group, co-founded by Mary Ann Franklin and Eleanor Williams in 2009, continues to enhance the city of Warren. The group will meet at 5:30 p.m. today at Quinby Park.
FOLDED BOOK WREATH: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will present a spring folded book wreath activity at 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Participants will learn how to turn an old book into a floral wreath. Supplies will be provided. To register, call 330-652-1704, Ext. 3.
The Movie Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinley Birthplace Home where participants will watch a selected movie at home and then meet fellow movie buffs for a discussion in the movie. The club meets the first Tuesday of the month. This month’s discussion is on “Bullet Train.”
