Earth Day fun planned in city
EARTH DAY EXTRAVAGANZA: Clover Recycling, 1411 W. Market St. Warren, will host an Earth Day Extravaganza 4 to 7 p.m. today, with touch a truck and machinery, free plant giveaway, hands-on crafting station, free raffle and demonstrations.
LIBRARY EARTH DAY: The Warren-Trumbull County Library will host an Earth Day Extravaganza at 6 p.m. today at the Youth Multipurpose Room.
Participants will plant a seed to take home, create crafts using recyclable materials and participate in other fun activities to celebrate Earth Day. The event is free for families with children ages 3 and older.
BRISTOL SCHOOLS ART SHOW: Bristol schools will present an art show 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bristol school complex gymnasium. Work of students in kindergarten to 12th grade will be displayed.
KITE FESTIVAL: The Austintown Kite Festival will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Stacey Pavilion, Austintown Park. The public is welcome to come to the park and fly a kite. Free kites while supplies last. The event will include raffles, face painting, food trucks, and Austintown fire and police vehicles.
