City sets cleanup to celebrate Earth Day

WARREN COMMUNITY CLEANUP: The Warren citywide spring community cleanup will be 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. The event is to celebrate Earth Day. Those helping are asked to gather at 347 Mahoning Ave. NW or Courthouse Square, 61 High St. NW, Warren. Groups, families and individuals can volunteer and help. Bags, gloves, vests and pickers provided. Cleanup areas to be determined. A light lunch will follow at the top of the Warren Community amphitheater. TRUSTEE ASSOCIATION: The Trumbull Township Association will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fowler United Methodist Church, state Route 193, south of Fowler Center. Fowler Township trustees will host. Guest speaker is Trumbull County Treasurer Agostino Ragozzino. Social is 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting. Cost is $25 per person. WELLNESS ON WHEELS: The Warren City Health District’s Wellness on Wheels will be on-site at Waterstone Apartments, alongside the Trumbull Mobile Market, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at 1380 Arbor Ave SE. Warren. All services are available for city residents as well as the surrounding areas. For more information call 330-841-2596.

WARREN MUSIC CLUB: Members will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at the home of Karl and Jeannine Morris. The public is invited to the program with the theme “Songs of Spring.” The program will include “Younger Than Springtime,” “April Showers” and “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” by composer Burt Bacharach. Group singing will include “Tip-toe Through the Tulips.” Karen Hunt will accompany the song of the month, “Blue Tail Fly.” Music in poetry will be “With Music Strong I Come” by Walt Whitman.
