Seeing Eye: Eastwood Mall hosting the Easter Bunny on Saturday

EASTER BUNNY AT THE MALL: The Easter Bunny will arrive 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eastwood Mall Center Court in Niles to visit with children. There will be a magic show and an Easter word hunt around the mall for a chance to win prizes. Children can have photos taken with the Easter Bunny throughout the day.

ROSES CEREMONY: The Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission will host the annual Laying of the Roses ceremony, honoring heroes of the Vietnam War, 1 p.m. Sunday at Central Square Plaza, next to the former Chase Bank building. IMMUNIZATION CLINIC: The Warren City Health District will provide a Children's Immunization Clinic 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Health District, 258 E. Market St., Warren. No appointment needed. Bring updated shot records. For more information, call 330-841-2596.

CARNIVAL AND DANCE PARTY: The Abilities Unite Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, formerly the Fairhaven Foundation, is hosting its annual Abilities Rock Carnival & Dance Party on Saturday at Waypoint 4180, 4180 Westford Place, Canfield.

In conjunction with DD Awareness Month, this event, specifically designed for the developmentally disabled community in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties, features a DJ-led dance party, various accessible carnival games, prizes, balloon twisters, face painters and carnival-themed treats.

This event is broken into three sessions: "Quiet Carnival," for those who prefer a more subdued and sensory-friendly experience, 10 to 11 a.m.; a general session 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and the final session, 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Volunteers from local businesses, sports teams, the foundation board of directors and county boards of DD are donating their time as game operators, concessionaires, prize distributors and spirit leaders. For information, contact Kristen Taylor at KristenTaylor@abilitiesunite.org or 330-727-5573.

ADOPT-A-BED FUNDRAISER: In celebration of National Agriculture Week, Flying HIGH Inc. GROW Urban Farm invites the community and local media to attend the kick-off event for its Adopt-a-Bed fundraiser 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Access Healthy Food Mahoning Valley Greenhouse (Building 4) at the Mahoning Valley Campus of Care, 1960 E. County Line Road, Mineral Ridge.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the greenhouse and view a variety of flowers and produce currently being cultivated. These plants will later be transferred to raised garden beds at GROW Urban Farm in Youngstown, where they will be grown and harvested before being distributed through Flying HIGH's Mobile Markets. Photos showcasing the garden beds in full bloom will also be on display.

The Adopt-a-Bed program allows individuals, families and businesses to sponsor a raised garden bed for $50 for the 2026 growing season. Adopt-a-Bed forms will be available at the event; community members can also participate online at fhipdc.org/grow-urban-farm.
