Library sets Easter events

NILES LIBRARY EASTER CELEBRATION: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host an Easter celebration at 2 p.m. Saturday for children 9 and younger. There will be an Easter egg hunt on the library grounds, weather permitting. Children can have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny and meet therapy bunnies form F3RS Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary. Those attending can bring their own basket or bag.
SPRING EQUINOX: The Unity Spiritual Centre, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, Liberty, will host a spring equinox drumming session 5:30 to 8:20 p.m. Friday at the center. The Drums and Yums will be led by Dan Susany, who is a local drummer. Participants can bring their own drums or they will be made available. The event is free. For information, call 330-539-0122.
GIRARD LIBRARY EVENTS: Girard Free Library, 105 E.Prospect St., will present Tuesday Tales with Toshi at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Enjoy a themed storytime with Toshi the therapy pug on the third Tuesday of every month. Toshi is part of Furever Friends Therapy Dogs. No registration is required.
Felt Flower Wreaths will be crafted 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the library for ages 10 and older. Make a floral wreath in anticipation of spring using an array of colored felts in an easy to follow introduction to felt art. Registration is needed at 330-545-2508.
UKRAINIAN EGG DECORATING: The McKinley Memorial Library, 40 S. Main St. in Niles, will host Pysanky: Ukrainian Easter eggs 5:30 to 7:30 p.m Thursday or 1 to 3:30 p.m. March 28. Learn about the Ukrainian tradition of decorating Easter eggs, known as pysanky, and dye an egg of your own. All supplies will be provided. The program is for ages 12 and up. EARTH DAY TREE PLANTING: The McKinley Memorial Library In Niles has partnered with Neighborhood Forest to provide free trees for children to plant during Earth Week in April. Parents or guardians can sign up to receive a free tree for their child. Trees are set to arrive in time for Earth Day on April 22 and should be planted on your own property. Trees will not be planted on the Memorial grounds. Applicants will be contacted when tree orders can be picked up. Registration is required at 330-652-1704, ext. 4.
CHEMICAL REACTIONS: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host Kids Cub Chemical Reactions Oxidation 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday for children ages 5 to 11 at the McKinley Birthplace Home. The programs take place the first and third Thursdays of each month with STEM activities offered. This week, students will learn about chemical reactions. ART SHOW: The Trumbull County Educational Service Center will host its annual High School Art Show at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Medici Museum of Art, 9350 E. Market St., Warren. The event will highlight the creativity and artistic talents of high school students from across Trumbull County. The event is free and open to the public.
VACCINE CLINIC: The Warren City Health District, 258 E. Market St., Warren, will provide a public COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinic 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Health District. No appointment is needed.
