TRANSCRIBING HISTORY: The Trumbull County Historical Society is seeking volunteers to help transcribe historical documents from its collection and help preserve local history. The free session will go all day Friday at the Warren Library on Mahoning Avenue NW; volunteers can spend a few hours or the entire day.

Call 330-394-4653 to register in advance. Volunteers will not be handling original documents, only photocopies, to ensure preservation of the original records.

BIGFOOT PRESENTATION: The Youngstown Torch Club will host Bigfoot investigator Amy Bue at its meeting 7 p.m. April 8 at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road in Cornersburg.

A writer and former educator from Northeast Ohio, Bue has worked closely with other experts to make the subject of Bigfoot less taboo in scientific circles.

The talk is free and open to the public.

Each session begins with a brief health talk before participants join in a walk around the mall.

The walks are free and open to the public. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, and no registration is required.
