LIBRARY HOSTS AMERICA250 CELEBRATION: The community is invited to join the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary throughout 2026 by discovering the stories that shaped the nation. To honor this significant national milestone, the W-TCPL will host a wide range of special programming throughout 2026, including book discussions, guest speakers and more events focused on America’s unique history.
An America250 kickoff “Eras Party” will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Library, 444 Mahoning Avenue NW in Warren. Adults can drop in for snacks and games from different eras of American history. Guests are asked to register online at www.wtcpl.org/events or call 330-399-8807, Ext. 200 to sign up for this free event. COAT GIVEAWAY: The Community Volunteer Council of Warren will host a coat giveaway with Youngstown Blue Coats from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the CVC building, 1642 W. Market St., Warren.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION: The Warren Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1645 North Road, will host a food distribution 10 a.m. to noon Thursday. The event is the third Thursday of each month. Those needing food are asked to stay in their vehicles and drive through, where someone will put the box in their vehicle.
COZY CRAFTERS: Girard Free Library will host the Cozy Crafters at 6 p.m. today for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting and embroidery. The group will share tips with one another while working on their projects,
The library will offer Kitchen Fundamentals at 11 a.m. Saturday. The program offers fun ways for kitchen creativity.
A teen program will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Thursday where teens can take old magazines and make them into eye-catching works of art. All materials will be provided.

NILES LIBRARY PROGRAMS: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will offer a variety of programs this week.
• Kids Club: Painting Salt Snowflakes 3:30 p.m. Thursday for ages 5 to 11. Participants will learn about the water-absorbing the quality of salt as they color their own snowflake.

• A pie social will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinley Birthplace Home where participants will share conversation while trying a variety of pies. Registration is needed.
• A tea blending workshop will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with Patricia Dennison, certified tea sommelier from Palmer Place Fine Teas, who will teach the art of blending botanicals with the Camellia sinensis leaf.
Guests will sample a selection of Palmer Place teas before selecting botanicals to create their own “signature” blend to take home. All supplies will be provided. Call 330-652-1704, Ext. 3 to register.
