Fall Festival set for Saturday in Girard

FALL FESTIVAL: Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St., will host a fall festival 11 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday for children up to age 12. There will be pumpkin painting, archery and games. To register, call 330-545-2508.

BOOK SALE: The Friends of the McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host a book sale 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday at the National Birthplace McKinley Memorial Museum, Niles A bag sale will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

CRAFT SHOW: Cortland Church of the Nazarene, 293 E. Main St., will host a community craft show 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, There will be crafts. Snacks and beverages for sale. Proceeds to benefit the church’s Crisis Care Kits, where kits are sent wherever there is a crisis.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Girard Free Library is offering a new Dungeons & Dragons group at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Dungeon Master will guide participants through their first steps so even a new participant can play. Register at the library

FUNDRAISER FOR TEEN: Nathan’s fundraiser festival will be noon to 6 pm. Saturday at the former fire house community center. 1864 Greenville Road, Bristolville. Raffle starts at 5 p.m,. There will be live entertainment, a 50-50 raffle, cornhole tournament, camel rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin carving contest and car and bike cruise in. Nathan’s family needs a van with a wheelchair lift to get him to church, medical appointments and family visits. Nathan, 13, has Statin-Associated Muscle Symptom (SAMS) and uses a wheelchair for daily care and it has become difficult to move him in and out of a vehicle

NIGHT OF THE DEAD: Modern Methods Brewing Company,125 David Grohl Alley, Warren, will hold a “Night of the Figggin Dead” 6 to 11 p.m. Friday. The event will feature scenes from “Night of the Living Dead,” live drama performance and music. There will be a zombie glam station, and fig and zombie-inspired menu. NEW ROOF: The Trumbull County commissioners, in partnership with Trumbull County Planning Commission, held a recent ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of the roof replacement project at the Girard Multi-Generational Center. The community improvement project was made possible by a Community Development block grant, and Allocating and Revolving Loan Fund.
