WALKING TOUR: A Millionaires’ Row walking tour is set for 10 a.m. Saturday. It will start in front of the First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. Tickets are $15 per person and reservations are required by calling 330-394-4653 or at trumbullcountyhistory.org.
BARBER OPEN HOUSE: A barber open house is planned from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at 815 Youngstown Warren Road, Niles. The event will bring together local barber shops, aspiring barbers and community members for a day of networking, and showcasing local talent.
MOSS HOUSE: The Moss Ancestral Home and Mineral Ridge Historical Society will hold an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 1499 and 1476 Burnett St. in Mineral Ridge. The Moss Ancestral Home was built in the early 1800s and is a Pennsylvania Bank style home. Across the street is the Mineral Ridge Historical Society, full of artifacts and pictures from Mineral Ridge and surrounding areas.
NILES HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The Niles Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Westenfield Room at the Ward Thomas House property.
COOKBOOK CLUB: McKinley Memorial Library presents Cookbook Club at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the McKinley Birthplace Home, Niles. Now on select Saturdays, cookbook fans are invited to discuss a new cookbook or theme each month. This month, participants will read “Bravetart” by Stella Parks.
BRACEVILLE FESTIVAL: Braceville will host a free Family Fun Day noon-4 p.m. Sunday at the Administration Building, 800 Newton Falls Braceville Road. There will be games and prizes for kids, a magician, alpacas to pet, a basket raffle and bake sale and exhibits. There also will be food trucks.
HALL OF FAME: The Mathews Hall of Fame Committee of The Herd Foundation announced the 2025 class: Carol Peigowski Pennington (Class of 1969); Honorable Mark S. Finamore (1974); Dr. Jeff Hayes (1973); Sean Leach (1979); Bobbi McLain Simons (1989); Ret. Air Force Captain, First Officer Mark Garnet (1992); Dr. Christine Novicky (1996); Tara Ford Adams (2005); Dr. Andrew Morgan (2013). These people will be honored during a banquet at 5 p.m. on Aug. 16, at Salvatore’s Italian Grille Banquet Center, 8720 E. Market St., Warren. Tickets for this event are $50 each.
