Third annual Taste of Liberty set for Saturday afternoon
TASTE OF LIBERTY: The third annual Taste of Liberty will be 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Liberty High School. Tickets are $25 each at the door only. Various eateries will be participating. Proceeds benefit Liberty students.
HEALTH FAIR: Churchill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill Hubbard Road. wil host a health fair 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature a variety of prizes, raffles and members of the Liberty fire and police departments.
AUTHOR VISIT: Hubbard schools and the Hubbard Public Library will host bestselling children’s author and musician Eric Litwin, best known for the “Pete the Cat” books Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, Litwin will be at Hubbard HIgh School auditorium at 6 p.m. to meet with families and the public. On Friday, Litwin will lead a professional development workshop for teachers at Hubbard Elementary School.
WOMEN’S LIBERATION PROGRAM: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will present “How Women’s Liberation Transformed America” at 2 p.m. Thursday with a discussion by Clara Bingham. Bingham is an award-winning journalist and author of “The Movement: How Women’s Liberation Transformed America, 1963-1973.”
TEEN SCENE: The Mckinley Memorial Library in Niles will host Teen Scene 3:30 pm Saturday for ages 12 to 18 at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Teens will recreate edible masterpieces. Supplies will be provided. Registration is recommended at 330-652-1704 ext. 4
WINTER CRISIS PROGRAM: The deadline for the TCAP winter crisis program is March 31. The program assists with gas and electric services. TCAP appointments can be made at 330-951-0015. TCAP Is located at 611 Main St. NW, Warren. Appointments are still available.
