AFRICAN AMERICAN GENEALOGY CLASS: The Howland Library Branch, 9095 East Market St., will offer an African American Genealogy class 3 p.m. Tuesday for adults. Learn to trace your family history using traditional and digitized resources, including the Freedmen’s Bureau, the African American Heritage database and the Unknown No Longer website.
FRIDAY FILM FESTIVAL: Classic Film Festival will be held 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at the Howland Library Branch, 9095 East Market St. Watch an award-winning movie on the big screen in the library meeting room. Popcorn to be served and a trivia sheet offered for a chance to win a prize. For more information call the library at 330-856-2011.
FOUNDATION HOLDS FUNDRAISER: The Cindy Michael’s Lena, Mason and Christian Foundation will hold a fundraiser dinner remembrance at noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Girard Fraternal Order of Eagles-Aerie 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave.
WWC LUNCHEON: Warren Women’s Connection (WWC) luncheon meeting will be Monday at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren.
The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. with the program to follow.
The cost for the program which includes a buffet catered by DiLucia’s is $15 for first time participants and $20 for regular attendees.
The February program features “helping the homeless.” Speaker will be Patty Summers, president, CEO and founder of Youngstown Blue Coats.
Those attending are asked to bring socks, hats, gloves, etc. to give to the homeless.
The inspirational speaker will be Julie Henning on Zoom.

VETERAN FUNDRAISERS: The Knights of Columbus Msgr. John J. Lettau Assembly 2596 will host a booze raffle fundraiser to benefit veterans. Tickets are $10 each and two winners will receive a gift basket filled with booze with a value of more than $250 each. The drawing will take place Feb. 16 and the winner will be contacted.
The Knights of Columbus also will host a Valentine’s for Vets fundraiser 3 to 6 p.m. Feb. 16 at Biker Brewhouse, 5700 Patriot Blvd., Austintown. Tickets are $40 and only 100 tickets will be sold, with presale tickets only. The event includes food, drink tickets, live entertainment, a basket raffle and a 50 / 50 raffle.

SCHOLARSHIP OFFERED: Trumbull County Farm Bureau is offering scholarship opportunities to students pursuing post-high school education. The scholarship amount is determined by the number of acceptable qualifying applications.
Applicant’s parent / stepparent / legal guardian and / or themselves, must be current Trumbull County Farm Bureau members at the time of application and at payout. Applicants must prove enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program and can apply for an undergraduate degree only. Applicants must be considered full-time students by his / her college, university or technical school. Applicants may reapply yearly for the scholarship but are limited to two Trumbull County Farm Bureau scholarships. Recipients and / or a representative must attend the county Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in the fall. The award will be given following completion of one quarter / semester of school and grades have been submitted to the Farm Bureau office.

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS: Parents of a Niles McKinley High School senior band or choir member will receive in the mail a letter and an application for the two annual William D. Bauman Memorial Music Scholarships, two $5,000 scholarships established in memory of William D. Bauman.
Letters and applications must be mailed between Monday and Feb. 25 to the school secretary. Applications are due to counselors by March 21.
Any senior music student who didn’t receive an application can call the school’s guidance office at 330-652-9968.
