The seeing eye

NOON YEAR’S EVE: For younger children not able to make it to midnight, the Warren Trumbull County Public Library will host a Noon Year’s Eve 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. The events will include crafts, music and refreshments as the countdown to noon takes place. The event is for children ages 3 and older. Registration is required at the library. For information, call 330-399-8807.

NEW YEAR’S EVE WORSHIP: Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St. SE, Warren, will host a New Year’s Eve worship service at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVES: The American Red Cross is asking people to give blood or blood platelets. Those who sign up and give from now until Friday will receive a Red Cross long sleeved T-shirt. Those who give between Jan. 1 and 26 during National Blood Donor Month will be entered to win a trip for two to the Superbowl in New Orleans Feb. 9. Details are available at RedCrossblood.org/ Superbowl.

This is a challenging time of the year to get blood donations, with seasonal illness and threat of winter weather making it difficult to get to a blood donation site.

For appointments, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767.

Starting at $3.23/week.
