SCRAPPERS HALLOWEEN: The Mahoning Valley Scrappers will host the annual Trick or Treat event 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Eastwood Field in Niles. The event is for children ages 12 and under and tickets are on sale for $1 at Scrappers office. Rain date is Thursday.
LITERACY CAMP-OUT: Girard City Schools annual Title I Literacy Night, themed “Literacy Camp-Out: Read S’more!” is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prospect Elementary School. There will be storytelling, reading activities and s’mores.
CRIBS FOR KIDS: The Warren City Health District is hosting a “Cribs for Kids” class 1:30 p.m. today at their office, 258 E. Market St., Warren. For information and to register, call 330-841-2596.
BIGFOOT PROGRAM: The Girard Free Library will host a program with Amy Bue, founder of Project Zoo Book, which is a collaboration of scientists and field researchers looking for bigfoot. She will speak at 6 p.m., Tuesday at the library, Her primary research areas are in Ohio and Pennsylvania Bue has shared her experiences on radio in podcasts and in publications Registration is required at the library.
BLACKOUT POETRY: McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will present “Blackout Poetry: Halloween Edition” 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Utilizing existing text from authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and Mary Shelley, participants will black out unwanted words with a permanent marker and arrange the rest of the words to create their own Halloween-themed poem. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required at 330-652-1704.
TRUNK OR TREAT: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2742 North Road NE, Warren, will host a trunk or treat event 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday, The event will include candy, prizes and games.
PACKARD MUSEUM PARTY: The National Packard Museum will host a Ghost of Packard fundraiser at 7 p.m. Friday. There will be a spooky tour and ghost of the Packard family Halloween party. Cost is $25 adults and $10 for children under 12. Call 330-394-1899 for tickets.
