NUMISMATIST PRESENT: Champion Historical Society will present numismatist Wayne Aubel at 6 p.m. today in the Community Room at Champion school board office, 5976 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Aubel will evaluate and share information about coins. The event is free and the public is welcome.
MUSIC CLUB TO MEET: Warren Music Club, a member of the Ohio and National Federation of Music Clubs, will meet 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of Karl and Jeannine Morris.
Federation day and orientation will be observed. Members and guests will sing "Work, for the Night is Coming." Ben Olsen will read "A Nation’s Strength."
Program chair Karl Morris will introduce the program of Broadway piano music performed by Jeannine Morris. Stories about the Broadway songs will be given as the club's course of study.
Pictures and stories from the Northeast Region Federation Weekend at Chautauqua Institute in New York will be presented by Mack Hassler, and Karl and Jeannine Morris. Elaine Maki will accompany the NFMC Benediction "The Gift of Song" by Lana M. Bailey.
A potluck supper will be served. The program and supper are open to the public.
EPILEPSY WALK: The second annual Purple for Palmer Epilepsy walk is 1 p.m. Sunday at Harding Park in Hubbard.
The event will honor Palmer Beasley, 3, who was diagnosed with a rare type of focal epilepsy in 2022. It is the only epilepsy walk in the Mahoning Valley.
Just by donations and registrations alone, Purple for Palmer raised more than $13,000 last year that was donated to Akron Children's Neurology Department and the Epilepsy Foundation.
This year's walk is Halloween themed. All participants are encouraged to dress up and will have the opportunity to trick or treat while walking.
There will be an auction, 50/50 raffle, face painting, DJ, food truck, costume contest and other activities. Go to Facebook and search "Purple for Palmer Epilepsy Walk" for more details.
WOMEN'S CLUBS MEET: The next meeting of the Warren City Federation of Women's Clubs will be hosted by member club Mary Chesney Chapter, National Society of Daughters of the Revolution, at noon Oct. 8 at The Chophouse Restaurant in Howland.

FIRST WEDNESDAY: The Upton House will open its “First Wednesday” speaker series Oct. 2 with East Liverpool attorney Tim Brookes, who will talk about the life and exploits of gangster and bank robber "Pretty Boy" Floyd, who met his demise in East Liverpool. On Nov. 6, Amanda Manahan of the Oberlin Heritage Center will speak about the local and national impact of Women’s Suffrage in Oberlin.
The events will be at The Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave., Warren, with refreshments at 9:30 a.m. followed by the program at 10 a.m. The programs are free. Donations are welcome.
BOOK SALE: The Friends of the Library book sale is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 2 to 5 at the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial Museum, 40 N. Main St., Niles. A preview sale is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with memberships sold at the door. For more information, visit www.mcklib.org/Friends.
MOVIE NIGHT: McKinley Memorial Library will host Fall Family Movie Night at 5 p.m. Oct. 2 at the McKinley Birthplace Home, Niles.

TRIPLE REUNION: The Howland High School Classes of 1982, 1983 and 1984 will host a class reunion weekend Oct. 4, 5 and 6.
