Howland hosts third Food Truck Friday
TIME TO EAT: Howland Township will host the third of four Food Truck Friday events 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richard E. Orwig Park in Howland Township. The event takes place rain or shine. Event goers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy local fare and music while relaxing with family and friends in the park. Memphis Soul Brew will perform. Several local food trucks will offer a great selection of street food.

BACK TO SCHOOL: One Village Community Outreach will hold a “No Child Left Behind” back to school festival 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Perkins Park pavilion in Warren. There will be free backpacks and school supplies, food, games and haircuts.
CELEBRATING YOUTH: A citywide celebration of youth will be noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace AME Church grounds, 1137 Main Ave. SW, Warren, The event is free to the public and will include bike drawings, food, books, haircuts, a bounce house, school supplies, face painting and chair massages.
HAM RADIO FEST: The 66th annual Warren Amateur Radio Association HamFest will be Sunday at Trumbull County Fairgrounds commercial building, 899 Everett Hull Road, Bazetta. The event will be 7 a.m. to noon. The FCC license and American Radio Relay League voluntary exam will be 9 a.m. with a $15 test fee. The event will include a raffle with drawings held throughout the morning. Winners of the secondary prizes must be present, but winner of the main prize does not have to be present.
AUGUST DANCE: The local USA Dance Youngstown Warren Chapter is sponsoring an August Dance 5 p.m. Sunday at Avon Oaks Ballroom, 1401 N. State St., Girard. The evening features ballroom dance lessons with general dancing from 6:15 to 9 p.m.
Cost is $10 for club members, $15 for nonmembers and $3 Students. Dances are open to the public.
