Foundation plans to give back

COMMUNITY GIVE BACK: The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation is announcing a Community Give Back event in partnership with Spokes of Hope at 4 p.m. on Friday, rain or shine, at the Sharon Speedway, 3241 Custer Orangeville Road, Hartford.

The aim is to support local families by providing essential household items, cleaning supplies, and personal care products.

This drive-through style event is designed to serve approximately 800 families. Community members can drive through the grounds of Sharon Speedway with their trunks open, and volunteers will pack their vehicles with the necessary supplies. Members of the Blaney family, including Dave and Dale Blaney, will be in attendance to help pack vehicles.

OPEN AIR EVENT: An open air musical program will be at 6 p.m. today at the pavilion by Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon, Pa. There will be gospel music, prayer and messages. The event was organized by David Johnson with the Living Water Church in Brookfield

FREE LUNCH: Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., will give away free lunches 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot.

CIGARS AND SUNDRESSES: KoolBoiz Foundation is hosting its fifth annual Cigars and Sundresses Fundraiser 7 to 11 p.m. Sunday at the Storey Event Center, 5801 Youngstown Hubbard Road, Hubbard.

Cost is $75 per ticket and includes one cigar, food catered by A Fresh Wind Catering and open bar.

Entertainment will be The Michael Austin Project and Janis Jones.

LIBRARY MUSIC: The Bristol Public Library, 1855 Greenville Road, Bristolville, will present the band Take II at 4 p.m. Sunday. Bob "Doc" Walton and Ellie Kovell will perform music ranging from the 1960s to well into the 2000s, with a repertoire of over 1,600 songs.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair to the back lawn of the library for this free performance.
