GREEK FEST: St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren will host the annual festival at St. Demetrios Center and grounds on Atlantic Street, Warren, Wednesday to Sunday. The festival includes Greek food, dancing, rides and entertainment. Hours are 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: The Emmanuel Community Care Center will host a school supply distribution for children in kindergarten to 12th grade for families who are registered at the center. Those in need of school supplies can call the center at 330-545-4301 by Aug. 9. Pickup is 10 a.m. to 2:30 pm. Aug. 13. Donations of supplies and gift cards to Target or Walmart can be dropped off by Aug. 9 at the center, 2 N. State St., Girard.
GIRARD LIBRARY EVENTS: Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St., will host a reptile show with Komora Outdoors at 4 pm. Thursday with registration required. Other events this week are Create Your Own Welcome Mat at 6 p.m. today and Discover Alaska's Denali National Park at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Registration is needed for all programs.
CAR SHOW: A Corvettes and Classics Car Show will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave,. Warren. Registration is 9 to 11:30 a.m. Entry fee is $10. There will be music, food, a 50-50 raffle and awards.
SIP AND PAINT: Cortland Library will host a Sip and Paint at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Teens in grades seventh to 12th can sip a smoothie while painting. Registration is needed at 330-638-6335.
SUMMER READING FINALE: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will host a summer reading finale "Adventures of the Lost Treasure," 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday on the library grounds. There will be STEM activities. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside the McKinley Birthplace Home.
