Safety to shine at Kinsman event

KINSMAN SAFETY DAY: Kinsman Township will hold the annual Safety Forces Day 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the township park. There will be safety demonstrations and exhibits with representatives from the township police and fire departments as well as games and activities for children.

CAR SHOW: A Father's Day car show will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in downtown Sharon, Pa. Road opens for parking at 9 a.m.

WCHD CRIB CLASS: The Warren City Health District is offering a "Cribs for Kids" class at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at the Health District, 258 E. Market St., 3rd Floor, Warren. Registration is required by calling 330-841-2596.

NILES ALUMNI: The Niles McKinley High School Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. The nominee must have graduated at least 10 years ago, achieved success in their career and must have made significant contributions in their field and community. ROTARY FLAG PROGRAM: The Howland Rotary Club is holding its Fly the Flag fundraiser and flags will be placed in yards from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. The cost of the service is $40 per calendar year. Proceeds support the Howland Rotary Club and its efforts to serve the community and the youth of Howland. FLAG RETIREMENT: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3521 in Vienna will hold a flag retirement ceremony at 6 p.m. today at 324 Niles-Vienna Road, Vienna. The event is being held to mark Flag Day.

ROSE LUNCHEON: Warren Women's Club will host their 61st Annual Rose Luncheon at noon Wednesday, at DiVieste's Banquet Center, 754 North River Road, Warren. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The event, always held in June, will feature centerpieces gracing each table which are part of the surprise for the winner, a basket raffle and door prizes. The proceeds from this event are donated to various charities in the Trumbull County area. Tickets are $30 per person. Tables of eight are also available for purchase. DAY TRIPS: Trumbull County Travel Club members are signed up for the Tuesday excursion to Dublin. The first stop is to the only remaining whistle factory in the U.S. There are two seats available to Lancaster on August 20-22.
