BRIDGE DEDICATION: The Howland Veterans Bridge will be dedicated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Howland Road Department. Speaker is Jim Campbell, a veteran of 33 years. Howland American Legion Post 700 will coordinate the event to honor those who have served in the U.S. military
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: The Leavittsburg Heritage Association will host a Night at the Museum 6:30 pm. Thursday at the museum, 4901 W. Market St. Speaker is Martin Davis, a LaBrae High School graduate, who will share about his Air Force career and flying C-130 planes.
FOX PROGRAM: Girard Free Library will host Amy Reeher of the Trumbull County Soil and Water Conservation District at 6 p.m. Wednesday. She will make a presentation on foxes. The program is free and handouts will be provided.
FLAG RETIREMENT: Newton Falls veterans will host a flag retirement ceremony at noon Saturday at the city park.
SENIOR WATCH: Girard Senior Watch program will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Girard MultiGenerational Center. Those attending will learn about the program's services.
SANDMAN PROJECT: The Hubbard Rotary Club will offer a Sandman Project by offering to deliver sand to Hubbard children's sandboxes. The service project is a decade-old tradition. Order deadline is Saturday. Email Mary@HubbardRotary. Org. Delivery of sand is June 1.
BAKE OFF: The Warren SCOPE Center, 375 N. Park Ave., will host a dessert bake off 1 to 3 p.m today. Angie Stulgas of Gillette Skilled Nursing Home and Rehab is coordinating the effort. Local seniors are invited to taste and judge desserts made by the businesses that are participating.
GARAGE SALES: Champion Township will host a free community garage sale weekend Wednesday to Sunday. There is no need for a permit during this time. The garage sale list of participants is available at www.championcommunitycalendar.
