FRIENDS TO MEET: The Friends of the Warren Heritage Center will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kinsman House, Mahoning Avenue, Warren.
ECLIPSE PROGRAM: The Girard Free Library will host a program on the solar eclipse at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Speaker Doug Fowler, former adjunct professor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Youngstown State University, will shine a light on the rare phenomenon. People can learn the science behind the eclipse. Registration is required.
HONORING VETERANS: The Warren Women's Connection will meet at 6 p.m. April 8 at DeLucia's Restaurant in Warren. The meeting will include a "Salute to Veterans" with veterans from Vietnam to be recognized. Speaker is Pastor Dan Barker, who will discuss forgotten U.S. soldiers of Vietnam.
TRTA TO MEET: The next meeting of the Trumbull Retired Teachers Association will be a noon luncheon April 9 at Ciminero's Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Dr. Pablo Giuseppucci, general surgery, and Dr. Kenneth Jones, orthopedic surgery, from Trumbull Regional Medical Center, will speak about robotic surgery.
Cost of the meal is $16 with reservations required and sent to Linda Cowin, P.O. 152, Leavittsburg, OH, 44430 by Saturday.
The group will be collecting canceled stamps, cellphones, eyeglasses, hearing aids and yarn.
WCFWC SCHOLARSHIP: Warren City Federation of Women's Clubs is seeking applicants for a $750 scholarship to be awarded in April. The scholarship is designed to assist a Trumbull County woman in furthering her education in an accredited educational program.
The applicant must be 24 years of age or older and a resident of Trumbull County. The applicant must submit a written narrative describing her career goals and her plan to achieve those goals, including any financial hardship she may be facing, and how she will benefit from the scholarship.

SPRING CLEANUP: Girard City Cemetery is holding spring cleanup through the end of March for removing Christmas decorations from the graves. After April 1, employees will remove items.
MASTER GARDENER: Girard Free Library will host Trumbull County Master Gardener Wanda Thomas with tips on gardening. The program will be at 6 p.m.
SPRING BREAK CAMP: The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown will host a spring break camp for children in kindergarten to fifth grade 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and April 1 to 5.
