NEEDLES, HOOKS AND BOOKS: The McKinley Memorial Library will have a for people who knit, crochet or sew to meet 2 to 4 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. Lessons will not be provided.
WEAR RED WALK WITH A DOC: Mercy Health-St. Joes at the Mall will have a Walk with a Doc at 7:45 a.m. Friday at the mall.
Held on the first Friday of every month, Walk with a Doc offers a free, physician-led walking group. This month's topic is focused on heart disease and heart health. The walk will be led by Dr. Fareedah Goodwin-Capers, a board certified family medicine physician, serving Mercy Health-Howland Primary Care. The St. Joe's at the Mall team also will have information about hands-only CPR and practice kits from the American Heart Association available for the community.
NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING: The Northwest Neighborhood Association's monthly meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Methodist Church on Drexel Avenue NW.
Warren police Chief Eric Merkle is scheduled to speak.
CHESS CLUB: McKinley Memorial Library is hosting a Chess Club from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Saturdays at the library.
Bring your own chess set or use one from the library. Lessons will not be provided.
BYTE-SIZED BASICS: The Girard Free Library will offer Byte-Sized Basics. Residents of Girard and surrounding areas can meet with a trained professional who will help with a variety of computer-related tasks.
Topics include using the Microsoft suite and Google Docs, installing and using apps, troubleshooting internet and email, and accessing library resources.

LIBRARY STORYTIME: Winter Storytime at McKinley Memorial Library will be 2 p.m. Tuesday and Feb. 13, 20 and 27.
Caregivers and their children up to 4 years old are invited to attend. Each week will feature a different theme. Storytime will be held in the children's room of the library.
