Women’s club hosts Mardi Gras party

CLUB PLANS MARDI GRAS: Warren Women's Club will celebrate Mardi Gras with a 1 p.m. luncheon Feb. 4 and again Feb. 11, at the Warren Women's Club House, 708 North Park Ave., Warren. The menu will feature a Louisiana-style theme. Homemade pralines and nonalcoholic hurricane drinks will be served, with music and surprises to round out the event.

Tickets are $25 per person. Reservations can be made by calling Sandy Mahaffey at 330-518-6927. Seating on each date will be limited to 40 people.

BYTE-SIZED BASICS: The Girard Free Library will offer Byte-Sized Basics in 2024. Residents of Girard and the surrounding areas can meet with a trained professional who will assist them one-on-one with a variety of computer-related tasks.

Byte-Sized Basics sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including using the Microsoft suite and Google Docs, installing and using apps, troubleshooting internet and email, and accessing library resources. In addition, the program will offer homework and career assistance through the library's online learning resource, Brainfuse.

Appointments are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will last for approximately 45 minutes. To schedule an appointment, call the library at 330-545-2508, Ext. 105, or visit the library website at www.girard freelibrary.org.
