SAUCE AND SONG: St Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will host Sauce and Song noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be a concert 1:15 to 2 p.m. with a freewill offering accepted. Dinner is noon to 3 p.m. with adults $10 and children under 8, $5.
SPORT FAN POTLUCK: The Girard Multi-Generational Center will host a sports fan potluck luncheon noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the center on Trumbull Avenue. Those attending can wear their favorite sports attire. There will be sign-ups for the Super Bowl block pool. Those attending can bring a dish to share.
McDONALD CENTER: The McDonald Community Center, 500 Ohio Ave., offers various recreational activities. The center provides a place for seniors to socialize and connect with others. It offers games, educational speakers, exercise, movies and classes. For information, contact Tia at 330-979-8842.

MEET THE CANDIDATES: The public is invited to Meet the Democrat Candidates Night at 6 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St. The event is sponsored by the Trumbull County Federated Democratic Women's Club and will feature candidates running for the March 19 primary election. Candidates will have time for formal introductions as well as time to socialize with the audience.

TRTA TO MEET: Members of the Trumbull Retired Teachers Association will meet for a noon luncheon Feb. 13 at Ciminero's Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Chris Cerenelli of WFMJ will be the featured speaker. Cost of the meal is $16 with reservations required and sent to Linda Cowin, P.O. Box 152, Leavittsburg, OH 44430 by Thursday.
TRTA will collect for Akron Children's Hospital. Donations of new coloring books, crayons and story books are appreciated. The group also will collect canceled stamps, cellphones, eyeglasses, hearing aids and yarn.
FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIPS: Trumbull County Farm Bureau is offering scholarship opportunities to students pursuing post-high school education. The scholarship amount is determined by the number of acceptable qualified applications.
