FRIENDS TO MEET: Friends of the Mahoning River will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Oak Hill Collaborative, 507 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Parking is at the rear of the building. The group advocates for improving the quality of the Mahoning River and welcomes the public to attend. This month's meeting will be on strategic planning to increase the group's impact and effectiveness as a watershed group. Stuart Smith is the contact for the meeting.
