HOWLAND TREE LIGHTING: Howland's annual Christmas tree lighting will be 6 p.m. today at Richard Orwig Park on East Market Street.
Ornament making, cookie decorating, games, hot chocolate, popcorn, food trucks and Live with Lindsey will be available. Santa will light the tree at 6:30 p.m. The Fusion Children's Choir performance also will be held.
HUBBARD CHRISTMAS: The Hubbard Christmas parade will be 5 p.m. Saturday. The parade will travel down Hall Avenue, turn east onto West Liberty Street and end by turning north on Stewart Avenue. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at Tylee Park next to the fire station to visit with children in Santa's cottage.
AWL HOLIDAY EVENT: The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 812 Youngstown Kingsville Road SE, will take pet photos with Santa from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. A holiday bazaar with craft vendors and local organizations will be presented.
People can bring their pet or pets for a professional photo with Santa. Photo prints are $10 with an option to receive a digital copy for an additional donation. Human family members are welcome to pose, too.
Liz Hoffman of the Village Yoga Community will do shelter pet yoga from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. No registration is required, but bring a mat or towel. A $10 donation is suggested.
ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association will meet 6:30 p.m. today at Grace Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue NW. The speaker is Trumbull County Probate Court Judge James Fredericka. Those attending are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the church food pantry.
