BROOKFIELD WINTERFEST: The Brookfield Warrior Winterfest will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Brookfield High School. The event, hosted by the Brookfield Drama Club, will include a craft show, sip and paint, breakfast with Santa from 10 a.m. to noon, a middle school STEM fair, ugly sweater penny war challenge and basket raffle. LOCAL AUTHOR FAIR: A local author fair will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Kinsman Free Public Library. The public can meet local authors at the library. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Featured will be Rebecca S. Nieminen, historical fiction; Emily Webster Love, local history and fiction; Mollie Lyon, historical and contemporary fiction; David M. Melesky, humorous mystery adventure; Brenda Carroll Jarvis, biblical historical fiction; Charles R. Jarvis, Christian inspirational; Matt Miller, mystery; and Z.D. Dean, military science fiction.
CAN THE CRUISER: The Champion Police Department will hold a Can the Cruiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sparkle Market, state Route 45. The public can donate nonperishable food items to help Champion families during the holiday season.
HOLIDAY TEAS: Warren Women's Club, 708 N. Park Ave., Warren, will present Christmas teas 1 p.m. Nov. 26 and 1 p.m. Dec. 3.
The teas are fashioned after the high teas held in England complete with china, linen table cloths, scones and door prizes awarded throughout the afternoon. Each tea is served by ladies from the club.
Seating is by reservation only and limited to 40 people. The cost is $15 per person. Tickets can be reserved by contacting Sandy Mahaffey at 330-518-6927.
CHRISTMAS SALE: The Upton Association's annual Christmas Sale is 3 to 6 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Proceeds from the sale will help the association pay for winter utility expenses for the historic home.
WARREN MUSIC CLUB: The Warren Music Club will meet 2 p.m. Monday at Community Commons, 1340 Mahoning Ave. NW.
Members and guests will sing the song of the month, "All Things Bright and Beautiful," and Ben Olsen will read "Music" by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Program chair Alix Hannan will present a music outreach program featuring mostly American music. The club's choral ensemble will sing "Let There Be Peace On Earth." Club member Judith Callion will sing "God Bless America," and Jeannine Morris will play "Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Philips Sousa as a piano solo. Group singing will include patriotic and Thanksgiving songs.
