This is the first year for the project that aims to help a few less advantaged local children receive something special for Christmas.
Names will be gathered anonymously from local schools each year starting this year. Each child will be assigned a number, and a card will be placed on the tree at the craft show indicating the corresponding number, child's age and gender. There will be two ways to donate to the cause. Silent auction proceeds will go toward the tree, or attendees may take a card from the tree, purchase for the child / children listed, and turn items in to Legacy Events to be distributed to the schools no later than Dec. 9.
