NEIGHBORHOOD GROUP TO MEET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue NW, Warren. Guest speaker will be Eddie Colbert, Warren safety service director.
Those attending are asked to bring new or clean used socks to go to the Warren Family Mission.
MOVIE CLUB MEETS: The Movie Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinley Memorial Library. Participants can watch the selected movie(s) at home, then meet fellow movie buffs for a friendly discussion on the first Tuesday of each month. This month, participants will watch one or more of the "Indiana Jones" movies directed by Stephen Spielberg.
RAISING AWARENESS: Niles resident Beverly Cross-Thomas is taking part in the "Fab over 40" competition to raise awareness for breast cancer and funds for the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. WILD TURKEYS: Amy Reheer of the Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District will present a program on the history and habitat of wild turkeys at 6 p.m. today at the Girard Free Library. There will be take-home formation for those who attend.
BOOSTER FUNDRAISER: The Girard FIRST Robotics Boosters will host a designer bag bingo at 7 p.m. Saturday with doors opening at 6 p.m. at the Avon Oaks Ballroom. Presale tickets are $30 and tickets at the door are $40. The event is for ages 18 and older. There will be a basket raffle.
HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR: Holocaust Survivor Art Gelbart will speak at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The event is part of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation's anti-hate and educational opportunities initiative.
Gelbart was held in Blechhammer forced-labor camp for two years before being forced on a death march to Buchenwald, where he was liberated. Gelbart will share stories of his life in Poland before his family was taken to work and concentration camps, and how his life was changed during the Holocaust.

ROTARY AUCTION: Hubbard Rotary Club will host its 67th annual Rotary Auction on Thursday at Tiffany's Banquet Center, 601 Bedford Road SE, Brookfield. Doors open at 5 p.m. and bidding begins at 6 p.m. There will be a chance auction, bake sale and raffle.
Guests also may place bids by registering online at GeorgeRomanAuctioneers.com prior to the auction date. The online listings also allow a view of items ahead of time. You can also see items by checking the Hubbard Rotary Facebook page where photos will be added daily.
The auction supports Hubbard Rotary projects, including the Hubbard Rotary van, third-grade dictionary project, Hubbard High School foreign language and vocation scholarships, the Sandman Project and Rotary Youth Leadership Conference.
TOY DRIVE: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles has partnered with Niles Community Services to host a holiday toy drive Nov. 13 to Dec. 7. New toys, puzzles and books for children up to age 13 are being accepted. Donations should be unopened and unwrapped. Drop off donations at the library or at Niles Community Services.
COPING WITH GRIEF: McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will offer a one-time Coping with Grief at the Holidays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER: Champion Middle School, 5976 Mahoning Ave., is hosting a holiday craft and vendor fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school. Admission is free. Featured are over 80 tables of local crafters / vendors, concessions, a basket raffle and 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds benefit the Champion Middle School author program.
