FALL FESTIVAL: Windsor House at Liberty Health Care Center, 1355 Churchill Hubbard Road, Liberty, will present a fall festival 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event will include crafters. vendors, basket raffle, petting zoo, games, food, rummage sale and deejay. A remembrance service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Stephen Popovich.
FALL MARKET: Southington Community Trust will present its second annual fall market 4 to 7 p.m. today at Monument Park, next to the Chalker Building, state Route 305.
SURVIVAL WORKSHOP: The Bettering Our Selves Successfully (B.OS.S) program is sponsoring a emergency preparedness workshop for natural disasters at 4 p.m. Saturday at New Vision Christian Church Center, 2219 Tod Ave., Warren. Guest speaker is Evangelist Megan M. Brown, founder of The B.OS.S organization group.
Information will be discussed on survival and what to do in the event of a state of emergency or natural disasters.
A raffle drawing for a pack for emergency survival and light beverages will take place and refreshments will be served afterward.
CRAFT SHOW: The Lakeview Local School District levy committee will present a craft show 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club, 2619 Hoagland Blackstub Road, Warren. Craft vendors and concessions will be available, along with music.

AUTUMN IN THE FALLS: The Newton Falls downtown shopping district on Broad Street will present Autumn in the Falls from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The entire street in front of local Newton Falls businesses will be filled with shops and vendors setting up to sell their merchandise -- from homemade sweet treats to unique crafted items.

ELIOT NESS: "Discovering the Real Eliot Ness" will be presented 2 p.m. Saturday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW. A celebrated federal agent, Ness served as Cleveland's safety director for Mayor Harold Burton from 1935 to 1942. During those years, Ness made an impact on the city of Cleveland that has lasted for generations, thanks to his relentless pursuit of justice and honesty. Guest Rebecca McFarland, an internationally recognized expert on the life and times of Ness, will discuss photos and stories about Ness. GIRARD CLEANUP: Girard city will require the use of paper lawn bags for the annual leaf collection. Leaves raked to the street will not be picked up by the city. The city has purchased a bulk quantity of bags that will be available to city residents while supplies last. Bags can be picked up 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays from Oct. 2 to Nov. 22 at the street department, 943 S. State St. The first five bags are provided at no cost upon proof of residency (a photo identification and a utility bill). If additional bags are needed, they can be purchased five bags for $1. MEETING SET: The Warren Music Club, a member of the Ohio and National Federation of Music Clubs, will conduct its first meeting of the club year 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of Karl and Jeannine Morris. Federation Day and Orientation will be observed. Program chair, Jeannine Morris, will introduce the program "125 Years of Music by American Composers" as the club's observance of the 125th year since the founding of NFMC in 1898. A piano solo "Autumn Leaves," composed by Joseph Kosma in 1947, will be performed. Amanda Beagle will sing a song composed in recent years. Pictures and stories from the NFMC conference in Norfolk, Virginia, and from the NE Region Federation Weekend at Chautauqua, New York, will be presented by Karl and Jeannine Morris. FALL FEST: Champion Schools' Senior Citizen Advisory Council will present a fall fest 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 at Champion PK-8 School yellow gymnasium. The event is an appreciation luncheon and award program for Champion resident senior citizens. Luncheon cost is $6, which will be paid at the door. Reservations are needed by Oct. 2. NOAS FUNDRAISER: Lutz Greenhouse in Salem is hosting a fundraiser "Take A Chance for the Kids." Participants can win a 50/50 drawing or one of 100 outdoor prizes donated by Lutz Greenhouse. The money will be donated to Northeast Ohio Adoption Services to connect foster youth and their families with support and resources.
The event will take place at Lutz Greenhouse, 7879 W. Pine Lake Road, through Oct. 8. Lutz Greenhouse is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The drawings will be Oct. 8. Winners do not need to be present.
