AMISH CULTURE TOURS: Want to know more about the Amish culture in Ohio? Trumbull County and Geauga County are home to the fourth-largest Amish community in the United States. This fall, Ridgeview Country Tours is offering a new Amish Culture Tour, which will give people the opportunity to explore the culture.
On Saturday, Sept 2, 16 and 30, and Oct. 14 and 28, Ridgeview Tours will offer a one-hour guided backroad tour at either 11 a.m. or noon that will explore the Amish culture in Trumbull County. At 2 p.m. they will offer a three-hour in-depth (including a meal) tour of the Amish culture, visit an Amish school, and finish the tour with an Amish wedding feast in an Amish home.
All tours begin and end at the End of Commons General Store at 4390 Kinsman Road in Mesopotamia. Reservations are encouraged; walk-ups are welcome based on availability. One-hour tours cost $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12; three-hour tours cost $79 per person (adult or child).
