WOMEN'S EQUALITY DAY: A Women's Equality Day celebration will take place noon Saturday at the Women's Park, located off Mahoning Avenue in Warren. This free event will mark the 103rd anniversary of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote. The theme this year is, "You've Come A Long Way But….Where Do Women Stand in the Work Force."
Featured speaker will be Velina Jo Taylor, superintendent of the Lakeview Local School District. The event will include refreshments at the Harriet Taylor Upton House. A tour of the home will be available during the time of the celebration. Music will be provided by Bonnie Hood and a solo song will be sung by Trumbull County Auditor Martha Yoder. Girl Scout Troop 80093 with leader Brandi Wagner and Troop 80137 with leader Lisa Bellin, will present the color guard.
RETIREES TO MEET: The Packard Retirees Club will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wayside Restaurant in Champion. Any Packard retirees are welcome to join the current group.
BLACKOUT POETRY: McKinley Memorial Library presents Blackout Poetry from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Blackout poetry is a fun and simple way to create poems without putting pen to paper. Utilizing existing text, the poet will black out unwanted words with a permanent marker and arrange the rest of the words to create a poem. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required at 330-652-1704, Ext. 3.
FACING YOUR FEARS: McKinley Memorial Library, Niles, will present "Facing Your Fears" with Cadence Care Network, from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the McKinley Birthplace Home.
Barb Snow, LISW with Cadence Care Network and adjunct professor at Youngstown State University, will share strategies for reducing anxiety, explain how cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure therapy can help you overcome your fears and create a healthier headspace. Participant also will use colorful clay to make their own worry stones, which may be baked at home.

HEALTH FAIR: The Niles City School District will host an employee health fair from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Niles McKinley High School. The fair will include a silent auction and giveaways at 11 a.m. Health screenings will be provided by Healthworks. Free samples will be given out, and vendors will be on hand.
PERFORMANCE SET: The Unity Spiritual Centre, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, Liberty, is sponsoring a return engagement by the international performers and recording artists Armand and Angelina at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. They will perform outdoors, weather permitting, with a fun-filled singalong. There is no charge to attend, but a love offering will be accepted. Those attending can bring a chair.
HOLOCAUST PROGRAM: The National McKinley Birthplace Memorial Museum has a new exhibit titled "Remembering the Holocaust." The exhibit includes a collection of Holocaust artifacts, on loan from Jonathan Guerrier, and two freestanding exhibits, including two short videos featuring two local Holocaust survivors, William Vegh and Henry Kinast, on loan from the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation. There will be an evening presentation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Jesse McClain, who represents the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation and is a Holocaust educational specialist, and Rochelle Miller, daughter of William Vegh, will present their extensive knowledge and experience. This event will be at the National McKinley Birthplace Museum, 40 N. Main St., Niles. The event is free, but seats are limited and will require a reservation at 330-652-4273.
CONCERT IN PARK: The Dixie Dandies will be in concert 7 p.m. Wednesday at Churchill Park, Belmont Avenue in Liberty. Those attending can bring a lawn chair.
