FISHING DERBY: The Vienna Fish and Game Club, 1508 Youngstown Kingsville Road, will host a fishing derby for children 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The event is for ages 5 to 15. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing is 9 a.m. to noon followed by free lunch. Participants should bring their own fishing pole and tackle. Free bait and poles will be available. STRUTT YOUR MUTT: The Friends of the Mosquito Lake Dog park will host a Strutt Your Mutt program at 11 a.m. Saturday at the beach pavilion at the park, 1439 state Route 305. Bazetta. The event will help raise money for the Voices of the Trumbull County Pound Dogs, a volunteer group that raises money to pay for vet care, medication and other needs for the dogs in the county pound. The walk will start at the large pavilion , go along the lake to Squirrel Run Trail and return back to the pavilion. A $10 donation per dog allows the participants in the walk. DOG PLAY: The Friends of the Mosquito Lake Dog Park and Mosquito Lake State Park are hosting a dog play seminar at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Trumbull County Agriculture Center, 520 W. Main St., Cortland. The seminar will help people have a better understanding of what good play and bad play are. Representatives of Dog Smartz Unleashed will present the program. This a human only seminar, which will help dog owners understand how their dog is feeling.
MUSIC IN THE PARK: A free concert featuring the Erie Brass Ensemble will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Howland Township Park at the end of Rosegarden Avenue.
ART SHOW: The Fairhaven Foundation art show exhibition will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. The event allows individuals with developmental disabilities to participate in a community art show. Six artists from the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities will take part in the annual summer event. Artists will be selling their artwork during the event. Proceeds from the sales benefits the artists.
CLASS REUNION: The Warren G. Harding Class of 1958 will host their 65th class reunion at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Trumbull Country Club. For information, call 330-219-8653.
JCC OPEN HOUSE: The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown will host an open house noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Logan Campus, 3245 Logan Way, Liberty. The free event includes giveaways, entertainment and swimming, Live music, family nights and adult nights will be offered throughout the summer.
MONTHLY DANCE: Friendly Squares Dance Club will host its monthly square dance 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St., Niles. Rex Parker will be the caller and Frankie Hammond will be cuing line dances. The theme will be strawberry night. This will be a Plus dance.
Dress is casual and light refreshments will be served. There is a $6 charge at the door.

MOSS HOME OPENS: The Moss Ancestral Home and the Mineral Ridge and Surrounding Areas Showcase will be open 1 to 4 p.m. the second Sunday of every month through November. The Moss Ancestral Home is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located at 1499 Burnett St., Mineral Ridge, and is an 1830's brick home with a unique for our area Pennsylvania Bank style architecture. The Showcase is across the street and is filled with memorabilia and pictures.
TCGS TO MEET: The Trumbull County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Warren SCOPE Center, 375 N Park Ave., Warren. Members will discuss the chapter's future, previously tabled ideas and finalize plans.
Attendees are invited to stay for the society's potluck luncheon. Everyone is asked to bring a food dish to share with the group.

SCRABBLE CLUB OPEN: McKinley Memorial Library will present Scrabble Club from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the library. This program will take place on the second Wednesday of every month. Game boards and tiles will be provided. Staff will be available to answer questions, but will not be participating.
