Organization to teach swimming

LEARN TO SWIM: Trumbull Family Fitness in Warren has scheduled learn to swim classes for children age 5 and older. Lessons will start June 3 and will be Monday to Thursday for two weeks. For information, time or sign up call TFF at 330-394-1565.

CLOSED FOR HOLIDAY: The McKinley Memorial Library and McKinley Birthplace Home will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. The library will reopen Tuesday.

TRT SPELLING BEE: The Trumbull Retired Teachers annual spelling bee will be at 1 p.m. July 13, on the historical stage of the Trumbull County fairgrounds. Call Garry at 216-262-3194 to preregister between June 1 and July 1. Preregistered spellers will receive free admission to the fair (rides not included).

Registration also will take place on the day of the bee from noon to 12:45 p.m.

SOCIETY TO MEET: The Vienna Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Copper Penny Lodge, 4275 Warren Sharon Road, to discuss the golf outing fundraiser on June 4. The society is seeking volunteers to work at the event and also seeks basket raffle items for the event.

CAMPUS OPENS: The Jewish Community Center Logan Campus of Youngstown will open for the summer on Saturday. The campus, 3245 Logan Way, offers a variety of activities for JCC members.

FREE COMPUTER CLASSES: The Warren-Trumbull Digital Advantage Initiative, sponsored by the Oak Hill Collaborative, Trumbull Community Action Program, Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority and the city of Warren, will offer free computer classes at TCAP, 1230 Palmyra Road SW, Warren. The classes will be 6 to 7 p.m. each day and the topics are as follows:

• June 1 -- Sharing files using the "cloud";

• June 5 -- Productivity apps: Learning Microsoft from the ground up;

• June 8 -- Getting started with email: Start a new account or fix your existing one;

• June 15 -- Excel with Excel: Intro to spreadsheets and tables;

• June 22 -- Scanning, sending, sent: An introduction to QR codes and shortlinks;

• June 29 -- Cybersecurity basics: Protect yourself and your data online.
