Church hosting food distribution

FOOD PANTRY: Harvest Point Church food pantry, 2121 Salt Springs Road, Lordstown, will host its distribution 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. This is a drive-thru distribution and no identification is needed. The distribution will be for canned goods and nonperishables.

POWER OF VOTE: A Candidate Forum will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, Harding Room, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Candidates running in local races have been invited to attend.

COMMUNITY NIGHT: Trumbull Career and Technical Center in Champion will host a Community Night 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. There will be an early innovators display, hands-on activities and demonstrations related to education. Food trucks and concessions will be available.

MASONIC LODGE: The Cortland Masonic Lodge 529 will host a public open house 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the lodge, 3263 Everett Hull Road, Cortland.

SENIOR SHOWCASE: The Warren Senior Citizen Center will host a Senior Showcase senior citizen talent show 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the SCOPE Center, 375 N. Park Ave.

LUNCH AND LEARN: The Girard Multigenerational Center will host a Lunch and Learn community event with safety forces chiefs 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday with guest speakers, police Chief John Norman and fire Chief James Petruzzi. A light lunch will be provided. Reservations are needed by calling 330-545-6596. Moderators are Dr. John Hazy, criminal justice department chairman at Youngstown State University, and Dr. Tammy King, retired associate dean and professor emeritus at the Bitonte College of Health and Human Services at Youngstown State University.

BENEFIT SET: The LaBrae Baseball Leagues will host a fundraiser at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Eastwood Field in Niles during the LaBrae and Jackson-Milton baseball game. Proceeds will help the family of Brenton Hemberger, 13, who died in a weather-related incident earlier this month. There will be a 50-50 raffle and other activities to help the family.
