BLOCK SOCIAL: Divine Trinity Temple Pentecostal Ministries, 500 Vine Ave. NE, Warren, will host a three-in-one block social 2 to 6 p.m. today. The event will include a giveaway of back-to-school supplies, a distribution of prefilled food boxes and free hot foods, along with outdoor activities. There will be cold beverages, homemade ice cream, bounce houses for the young, water games, face painting, contests and prizes.
BACK TO SCHOOL: Second Baptist Church of Warren will host "Back-to-School Sunday" at 10 a.m. Sunday. There will be prayers said for students, teachers, parents and staff from local school districts. Local educators will make presentations. Pastor Todd Johnson will do a blessing of all students and staff.
FIRST FRIDAY: The First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown 2022-23 speaker series season opens with a luncheon on the second Thursday in September.
Bishop David Bonnar of Youngstown will speak at noon Sept. 8 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road in Canfield. His topic is "My Vision of a Parish in the 21st Century," followed by a question-and-answer session.

MOVIE NIGHT: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave., Warren, will host an outdoor games and movie night 6 p.m. Friday. Admission and refreshments are free. Activities include basketball, kickball, cornhole and a bounce house. The movie will begin at dusk. Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by adults, and guests are advised to bring blankets and camp chairs.
OUTDOOR WORSHIP: First Christian Church in Niles will host a worship at the park 10 a.m. Sunday at Waddell Park.
GOLDEN WONDERS: The Mighty Golden Wonders will present a concert 5 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Ministries Church of God in Christ, 419 Highland Ave. SW, Warren.
