CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP: Camp Stambaugh, 3712 Leffingwell Road, Canfield, will host a Cub Scout Day Camp from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the camp. The theme this year is Weird Science, and the Scouts will get the opportunity to experience all kinds of things involving weird science through activities.
The Great Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America serving Scouting families in Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Summit, Trumbull, and northern Wayne counties in Ohio, will attend.
Youth in grades kindergarten to fourth in the Cub Scouting program will have the opportunities to learn, test, experience and have fun with many weird science activities.
POST 51 TO MEET: The Hubbard American Legion Post 51 will hold its monthly meeting 7 p.m. today in the social hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave. Special guest speaker will be Capt. Nick Hendrix of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Refreshments will be provided.
TALK WITH A TRUSTEE: Brookfield Township trustees will host a Talk with a Trustee event 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the gazebo on the township center green. There will also be several vendors at the center for a small summer market event.
MUSIC ON THE LAWN: McKinley Memorial Library will host a Music on the Lawn with the Full House Band from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for the free summer concert on the memorial grounds, 40 N. Main St., Niles. The Full House Band will perform harmony-driven, acoustic-based '60s and '70s variety. This performance is sponsored by the Bauman Estate.
