20TH ANNIVERSARY: The Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown and the Northeastern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America marked the 20th anniversary of the Lutheran-Catholic Covenant on Oct. 29. Signed Oct. 29, 2000, by Bishop Thomas Tobin and Bishop Marcus Miller, the covenant confesses the faith shared by Lutherans and Catholics and dedicates them to prayer, study and action for Christian unity.
The Lutheran Catholic Covenant Commission invites Lutherans and Catholics of northeastern Ohio to commemorate the anniversary through the congregation bulletin, website, Facebook or other social media, organize an ecumenical Advent Bible Study, pray for Christian unity during Sunday worship in November, and promote Christian unity through works of mercy and justice. VIRTUAL EVENT: ACTION of the Mahoning Valley will present a virtual anti-racism event "Anti-Racism and the Crossroads Healing the Great Divide" 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event will include a presentation, questions and answers, music and prayer, Sister Patricia Chappelle and Sister Ann-Louise Nadeau are among the guest speakers.
Chappelle was the executive director of Pax Christi USA for eight years and president of the National Black Sisters' Conference for five years. Nadeau served eight years in ministry in Washington, D.C., at Pax Christi USA as director of programs.

HUMANITARIAN AWARD: Love Charity Alms is offering the Jeremiah Barnes Humanitarian Award and will accept nominations through May 7. The award is being bestowed on a Warren area high school student .who demonstrates humanitarian spirit, acts of kindness, and work ethic demonstrated by Jeremiah Barnes from the time he was able to assist others until his death in June 2019. CATHOLIC MAN NIGHT: Catholic Men's Fellowship will host a Catholic Man Night 6:30 p.m. Wednesday virtually. This is the second of the Knights of Columbus "Into the Breach" series with the video focusing on various aspects of authentic Catholic manhood. The second video is titled "The Brotherhood" and speaks to the need of Catholic men to support other Catholic men in their daily walk with the Lord. The event is via Zoom at CMFDOY.org for the link.
CHURCH HELPS: First Federated Church of North Jackson for the past dozen years has alternated between supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Rescue Mission in Youngstown by purchasing and donating a hog from a local 4-H member. This year the church donated a hog to both organizations. The church purchased the hogs of Ethan Dunkel and Carson Myers.
REVIVAL SET: One Nation Kingdom Ministries will host a revival 10 a.m. Nov. 15 at the Focus Building, 2041 Niles Road, Warren,with Evangelist Michael Vance of South Carolina. Masks are required, and social distancing will be observed.
NEW LOCATION: Abundant Grace Fellowship will begin worship services 10 a.m. Sunday in the former Worship Center, 3771 Mahoning Ave. NW, in Warren. Pandemic safety guidelines will be followed.
SERVICES START: Sunday morning services have resumed at the Petro Truck Stop, Salt Springs Road off Interstate 80 in Weathersfield. Services start at 10 a.m. and are inside the theater. HELPING COMMUNITY: Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave. SW, Warren, known as "A House of Hope," has been a center of spiritual development and community uplift on the southwest side of Warren since its founding over 100 years ago and continues to offer family-centered Gospel ministry while spearheading strategic initiatives geared toward bettering the lives of those in the Warren area.
BLESSING OF ANIMALS: Boardman United Methodist Church will have Blessing of the Animals 11 a.m. Nov. 14 in the church parking lot.
CHURCH HELP: The congregation of Grace United Methodist Church in Warren donated candy to fill more than 200 quart-size plastic bags that were delivered by members to the porches of more than 200 homes in the surrounding neighborhood early Halloween morning. The church has had a Trunk or Treat event for several years, but decided to "treat" the neighborhood with a candy delivery this year.
ANCIENT TIMES: Poland Village Baptist Church will resume "Ancient Times: An Integration of the Old Testament with Ancient History" with Bill Henry at 6 p.m. Sundays.
Topics include "Did the Israelites Really Cross the Red Sea?," "Why Did Israel Separate into Two Nations?" "What Happened to Ancient Israel?" and "What Happened Between the Old and New Testaments?"

RESUMED SERVICES: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave., Warren, has resumed indoor services. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m., and worship services at 11 a.m. Bible study will be 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
All pandemic safety guidelines are being followed.
NEW WORSHIP TIME: First Baptist Church, 2640 S. Canal St., Newton Falls, will offer the Sunday morning worship service at a new time, with the service now beginning at 10 a.m. Social distancing and face coverings will be observed at this inside service.
The service will also be broadcast into the church parking lot on 89.5-FM radio and streamed on the church's Facebook page.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES: Adults seeking to learn more about or deepen their understanding of topics in faith and Catholic church practice can take part in new online opportunities provided by the Office of Religious Education of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown.
