FARMERS MARKET: The Newton Falls Farmers Market will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the city park, 52 E. Quarry St. Several area vendors will provide produce and other items. Social distancing will be required. All proceeds from the event will go to the Newton Falls senior scholarships. The event will be held rain or shine. Vendors are welcome at $5 per day.
PARENT EDUCATION NIGHT: The Newton Falls schools will host Parent Education Nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and 3 at the junior / senior high school building. The event will provide parents with information on use of Google Classroom for online learning. Parents will learn how to assist their children with Google Classroom. Parents who are interested are asked to sign up online at the district website.
AUTISM EVENT PLANNED: The Autism Society of the Mahoning Valley will hold its annual family portrait-session event for all Mahoning Valley families living with a child with disabilities, thanks to the generous donations of local supporters.
Normally the harsh flashing and tightly controlled environment of typical studios combined with unprepared photographers is often impossible to overcome. This event creates a liberal, open setting where family mementos can be created and cherished for years to come.
The prescheduled sessions will take place 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19 at the historic Kinsman House just off Courthouse Square in Downtown Warren at 303 Mahoning Court NW, Warren. Participants will have their choice of indoor or outdoor settings depending on the weather.
