TRUMBULL BENEFIT: The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County is holding a $50,000 COVID-19 Relief Raffle to benefit the mission and shelter located in Vienna. The money raised from the fundraiser will help the shelter as it deals with recovering from the setbacks caused by COVID-19. The raffle is running through July 31; the winner will be announced Aug. 1. AWL is selling 1,000 tickets at $100 each. The winner of the raffle will receive 50 percent of the total tickets sold and the remaining 50 percent will be used to support the AWL, which was closed until June 2.
Tickets can be purchased between noon and 7 p.m. Tuesdays to Thursdays, and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. For information call 330-539-5300 or visit www.AWL RescueMe.com/raffle.
CRAFTING CHAT: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will hold a Crafting Chat 1 p.m. Tuesday to help connect crafters with fellow crafters . Participants can work on their projects together. FARMERS MARKET: The Warren Farmers Market will be held 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays at Perkins Park, Mahoning Avenue, Warren. The market will be held each week through Oct. 6. Social-distancing guidelines are being enforced.
DONATIONS NEEDED: SCOPE Senior Services, Someplace Safe and Veterans Haven are local agencies of Family and Community Services in need of donations. SCOPE operates a traveling pantry food truck that delivers groceries to elderly and disabled people in Trumbull County. SCOPE also delivers cleaning supplies along with food to homebound residents.
Someplace Safe, Trumbull County's domestic violence shelter, is in need of supplies to assist the families at its center. Veterans Haven assists homeless veterans with housing and support.
Items needed include hand sanitizers, paper products, disinfecting wipes, rubber gloves, cough medicine, masks and bottled water.
