Neighborhood watch to get police update

VIENNA GROUP TO MEET: The Vienna Township Neighborhood Watch will meet 7 p.m. today at the township hall, 848 Youngstown Kingsville Road. Vienna police will attend to give an update on what is going on in the township and tips on how to watch out for each out. There is also planning for the annual Easter egg hunt.

Donations are being accepted.

JOHNSTON GROUP: The Johnston Township Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the old township hall. Members of the group will discuss plans for the year.

VALENTINE CRAFTS: A Valentine’s Day craft mobile will be 2 p.m. today at the Warren Trumbull County Public Library. Participants are creating a decorative mobile with hearts made of felt.

Space is limited. Registration is required by calling 330-399-8807, Ext. 200.

MATH COUNTS: MathCounts for grades seventh and eighth will be held 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. The event is a national math enrichment competition that increases enthusiasm for middle school math.

COLORING CONTEST: KaleidoSCOPE art classes, which are held at different SCOPE centers, is inviting people to participate in its first February Coloring Contest.

The contest is open to all senior citizens at all SCOPE locations. Deadline for entry is March 6 with submissions made to the Warren SCOPE center.

Each senior citizen in Trumbull County may submit two pages. Mediums that can be used are colored pencils, markers (ink) or paint. Include name and contact information on the back of your pages so all work will be judged anonymously.

Ask any SCOPE center manager for the coloring pages, or they are available at the Warren SCOPE Center front desk.
