Liberty hunts for Sasquatch

INVESTIGATING BIGFOOT: Liberty Library branch will have an Investigating Bigfoot program 6 p.m. Tuesday with Amy Bue and Tina Sams, members of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, which investigate Sasquatch sightings in Ohio. They will describe their own sightings as well as share the experiences of others who have reported spotting Bigfoot in Mahoning, Trumbull, Portage and Columbiana counties. Registration is required by calling 330-759-2589. The event is free.

NUN RUN: The Nun Run ’19 is set for Saturday at The Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road. The Kids Run for those 10 and under begins at 8:15 a.m.; the 1-mile walk will start at 8:30 a.m.; and the 5k race begins at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is $20 if received by Friday $25 the day of the race. No entry fee for the Kids’ Run. Packet pick-up and registration is at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the center’s auditorium.

FALL CLEANUP: Fall cleanup at Girard City Cemetery has been scheduled through Oct. 7 for pulling flowers and cleaning graves. After October, the employees will be remodeling any plants on graves for fall cleanup in preparation for upcoming holiday wreaths.

5K RUN / WALK: New Life K9’s is a non profit dedicated to raising money to support the training of service dogs for veterans. New Life K9’s is hosting a 5K Fun Run / Walk on October 20 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds. . Dogs are welcome. Registration starts at 8 am and the Run / Walk is at 9 am. You can register ahead at our website www.run4newlifek9.com for $25, or on the day of the run for $30. All proceeds go to help with the costs incurred in training the service dogs. Raffles baskets, 50/50 and food trucks.
