Mosquito Lake to host Miskito Pirate Festival

CHEESEBURGERS IN PARADISE FEATURED: The annual Miskito Pirate Festival with Cheeseburgers in Paradise will begin 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mosquito Lake State Park marina in Bazetta. There will be music from 5 to 9 p.m. Those attending can wear pirate costumes.

MOVIE NIGHT: The Circle Park Movie Night will be 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Central Parkway in Warren. Dreamwork’s “Trolls” will be shown free.

METEOR SHOWER NIGHT: A Meteor Shower Night will be held 9 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Mosquito Lake State Park, 1439 Wilson Sharpsville Road, Bazetta. Meet in the parking area at the group campsite for the once-a-year event.

This is near the peak time to view many so-called shooting stars. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Learn some history on the origins of the perseids, and hope to see several meteors passing through the night sky.

WALKING THROUGH MESOPOTAMIA: A Second Saturday Walking Tour of downtown Mesopotamia will step off 10 a.m. Saturday at 8505 state Route 534 as part of the Trumbull County Historical Society’s second Saturday walking tours.

TCHS is partnering with local historical societies to bring walking tours throughout the county. All tours last approximately one hour and operate on a donation price. For information, call 330- 394-4653.

SUMMER CONCERT: Vienna Township summer concert on the lawn will feature Guys Without Ties 6 p.m. Sunday at the gazebo on Warren Sharon Road at Vienna Center. Those attending can bring their own lawn chairs.

In case of rain the concert will be moved to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Center.

Food will be available for purchase.
