SUNDAY EVENT AT LAKE: The Mosquito Lake Dog Park Friends will hold its annual Howl-O-Ween event noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the pavilion by the beach area at Mosquito Lake State Park, Bazetta. There will be a dog costume contest with five categories and other dog-friendly games. The event will include vendors, a Chinese auction and door prizes. Registration is noon to 1 p.m with the contest at 1 p.m.
ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association will meet 6:30 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue, Warren. Guest speaker is Councilman Eddie Colbert, D-at Large.
BOOK SALE: The auxiliary at Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital will hold a book and gift sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the hospital, 8747 Squires Lane, Howland.
LIBRARY DISPLAY: The Newton Falls Public Library will have Newton Falls High School football items, trophies, memorabilia and photos on display in the vestibule during October. These historical Items range from 1928 through 1970. The library is open every day but Sunday.
TRIVIA NIGHT: The Warren Trumbull County Public Library will hold a trivia night 6 p.m. Wednesday. Registration is required at 330-399-8807.

NUN RUN: The Ursuline Sisters HIV / AIDS Ministry will host its 4th annual Nun Run 5k Race / 1 Mile Walk Saturday at the Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield. Registration is $20 if received by Thursday, or $25 the day of the event. Registration opens at the auditorium at 7:30 a.m. A Kids' Fun Run begins at 8:15 a.m, followed by the 1 Mile Walk at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K race at 9.a.m. Proceeds benefit the children's program of the Ursuline Sisters HIV / AIDS Ministry in Youngstown.
