Local company files suit over pattern design

A worldwide manufacturer and distributor of products to the hospitality industry, headquartered in downtown Youngstown, filed suit last week against a Mexican competitor, claiming copyright and trademark infringements. Steelite International U.S.A. Inc. is suing Anfora International, based in Hidalgo, Mexico, according to paperwork filed Dec. 8 in U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, Youngstown. Lawsuit: UPS ripped off seasonal workers with unfair practices

NEW YORK (AP) — UPS stole tens of millions of dollars in pay from seasonal workers who help the shipping giant deliver packages during the busy holiday season, forcing some to clock in well after their shifts started and deducting pay for lunch breaks they never took, New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged in a lawsuit Monday. Insight hearing to be rescheduled

Tuesday’s planned hearing in Columbus between Insight Health System and the Ohio Department of Health will be rescheduled, a department spokesman said Monday. Instead, the sides will have a conference call to discuss the case and to set a hearing date.
