YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University has named Omer Genc, associate professor of management and marketing in the Williamson College of Business Administration, as the Lariccia Family Endowed Professor, recognizing his work advancing experiential learning, applied research and regional business engagement. Ohio’s March unemployment rate falls to 4.1%

Ohio’s March unemployment rate dropped one-tenth of a percentage point, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported last week. The March 2026 rate was 4.1%, down from 4.2% in February 2026. Ohio’s nonagricultural wage and salary employment increased 12,500 over the month, from a revised 5,669,200 in February to 5,681,700 in March.
