Workers receive schedules to start at Amazon facility

Amazon has issued job assignments to employees of its new distribution center at 711 Perkins Jones Road, Bazetta.

A work schedule obtained by the Tribune Chronicle shows a start date of June 8. An email to Amazon’s media relations for comment was not returned as of Wednesday.

Construction on the $30 million distribution center began in February 2025. The e-commerce giant purchased approximately 60 acres on Jan. 22, 2025, according to the Trumbull County Auditor’s office, for $918,450.

The project is estimated to create 120 full-time jobs and will consist of a 169,000-square-foot distribution center and accessory structures, township officials previously said.

Port authority seeks responses to business travel survey

The Western Reserve Port Authority, which operates the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, is asking local businesses to complete a short survey about business travel in the Mahoning Valley.

This is an opportunity to help the authority better understand how businesses in the Valley travel, where companies are going and how often travelers are using airports outside the region. That information can help identify the destinations and service opportunities.

Strong local data matters when communities make the case for improved air service. Every response helps build a clearer picture of demand and strengthens the Valley’s voice as the authority advocates for better air access.

The survey will take a few minutes to complete. As a thank you, participants will be entered into a raffle for Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport apparel.

The survey may be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q6Q62FP.
