DJV Carpet wins charity pinball competition

GIRARD — Forty-two teams of four players each competed Tuesday afternoon in the second annual Corporate Pinball Challenge & Fundraiser at Past Times Pinball and Video Arcade in Girard through a partnership with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.
Each team played for a charity of its choice, with the tournament champion’s designated organization receiving the proceeds. The event grew this year, with 31 teams competing in the inaugural event last year.
DJV Carpet of Austintown emerged as the winning team on Tuesday and chose the Healthy Hearts & Paws Project in Warren as its charitable recipient. The team consisted of Larry DeMarco, Dan Vecchione, Greg Coulter and Aaron Smigrocky.
The second-place team was Aim Transportation Solutions, which chose High Score Haulers as its team name. Players were Paul Eippert, Dan Kellgren, Alana McBride and John Reed. Third-place finisher was Elsass Financial Group Team #3 with members Mike Ceci, Joe Johnson, Dana Kreider and Dave Mason.
The fourth-place team was the Diocese of Youngstown with team members David Burgess, Dominic Colucy, Matt Pecchia and Hannah Shaw. The Women’s Open Champion was Fran Ruble from Windsor House.
