As part of In-Demand Jobs Week, the Ohio Department of Commerce will present a free 30-minute webinar highlighting career opportunities in the skilled trades.

The webinar will take place at noon Thursday.

The session will provide a snapshot of the skilled trades in Ohio and offer insight that high school students may be interested in knowing.

Topics will include an overview of what the skilled trades are; current and future demand in Ohio for jobs in the skilled trades; benefits of working in the skilled trades; tools and resources available to plan for careers in the skilled trades; and steps that students can take now to prepare for work in the skilled trades.

This session is open to students, families, school administrators, guidance counselors and educators.
