The Better Business Bureau that serves Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties has announced the 2024 recipients of the organization's Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust.
The awards are given to recognize best business practices based on dedication to trustworthiness and service to the Mahoning Valley through volunteerism.
The recipients are:
● Torch Award for Marketplace Trust -- Rick's Ranchwear, Soft Touch Furniture and Compco
● Torch Award for Civic Leadership -- Germaine Bennett
● Torch Award for Nonprofit Excellence -- Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley
The awards ceremony will take place 11:30 a.m. June 5 at The Lake Club in Poland.
The awards are made possible from the support of the BBB TrustBuilders, a group of banking institutions in the Mahoning Valley with long-term commitments to earning and keeping the public's trust.
BBB TrustBuilders include Premier Bank, PNC Bank, Farmers National Bank and Huntington Bank.
The BBB also will award area high school students the Ethics & Integrity Scholarships sponsored by Farmers Trust Company and #1 Cochran. Scholarship applications can be found at bbb.org/youngstown.
