BRITE engages LA-based EV charging company

WARREN — A Los Angeles-based company using Columbus as a guinea pig to develop and manufacture its mobile electric vehicle charging stations is part of BRITE Energy Innovators’ portfolio, using the energy startup incubator to rapidly develop a prototype.

BRITE also will help plan for production “with enthusiastic support, connections in manufacturing and energy, a strong investor base and an ideal location in the heart of American manufacturing country,” Caradoc Ehrenhalt, EV Safe Charge’s founder and CEO, said.

“Joining BRITE is so meaningful to our long-term ambitions. It will help us take the next step in scaling our technology, and we are ecstatic to be working with them,” Ehrenhalt said.

BRITE on Thursday announced the partnership. EV Safe Charge provides turnkey charger sales and installation to U.S. commercial and government fleets.

The company is developing a station for garage owners and parking operators to expand its charging services.

Rick Stockburger, president / CEO of BRITE, said, “We see its technology as an important step forward that will help to usher wider adoption of electric vehicles. EV Safe Charge is exactly the type of forward-thinking company BRITE looks to support. Its electric mobility innovations likely will be in high demand as electric vehicles become more popular.”
